ScriptVerse operates as the data controller for personal data processed through this platform. Infrastructure is hosted on Cloudflare (global regions as applicable).

We process personal data based on:

• Contract — to provide your account and uploads
• Legitimate interest — security, spam prevention, abuse detection
• Consent — optional notifications where applicable
• Legal obligation — when required by applicable law in your region

Depending on how you use ScriptVerse, we may process:

• Account: email, username, password hash, profile info
• Content: scripts, descriptions, comments, votes
• Usage: views, copies, uploads, moderation logs
• Security: hashed IP identifiers, rate-limit records, captcha tokens
• Payment metadata for SV+ (processed by Lemon Squeezy — we do not store full card numbers)

Data is kept while your account is active. You may delete your account anytime from Settings → Account — this permanently removes your profile, scripts, comments, votes, bookmarks, and associated personal data. After deletion, remaining logs are removed or anonymised within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for security or legal compliance.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights such as:

• Access your personal data
• Rectification of inaccurate data
• Erasure — delete your account or request data removal
• Restriction or objection to certain processing
• Data portability where applicable
• Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based

We use HTTP-only session cookies for login. Captcha providers (Cloudflare Turnstile / reCAPTCHA) may set their own cookies when you complete a security check.

Where data is processed across borders, we use appropriate safeguards required by applicable privacy law in your region (e.g. GDPR Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions).
